How to delete your Offcampuz account
You can delete your Offcampuz account yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute — you do not need to email us or ask permission. This page walks through every tap, explains exactly what is deleted and what we are required to keep, and shows you how to stop the deletion if you change your mind.
The short version
- In the app: profile icon → Before you go → Delete account → Delete my account → confirm.
- You have 7 days to change your mind. Just sign back in and tap Keep my account.
- After that your account is switched off for good, and everything on it is permanently erased within 90 days.
Delete your account from the app
Step 1: Open the Offcampuz app and sign in
Deletion can only be requested from inside the account being deleted, so make sure you are signed in as the account you want to remove. If you cannot sign in any more, skip to Deleting without access to the app.
Step 2: Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner
The person-shaped icon in the top bar opens your Account screen, which holds your profile and all of your settings in one place.
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom, to "Before you go"
It is the last group on the Account screen, below About. It contains two rows: Sign out and Delete account.
Step 4: Tap "Delete account"
This opens a screen headed Delete account that explains exactly what deletion removes. Nothing is deleted yet — opening this screen is safe, and you can back out of it at any time.
Step 5: Read "What happens", then tap "Delete my account"
The list on that screen tells you what will be erased: your persona, karma and trust score; your posts and comments; and your saved posts, reports, and account history. When you are ready, tap the Delete my account button.
Step 6: Confirm in the "Delete your account?" dialog
A final confirmation dialog appears. Tap Delete to confirm, or Cancel to stop — nothing is scheduled until you tap Delete here. This is the step that actually submits the request.
Step 7: You are signed out, and we email you the date
Your request is recorded straight away and you are signed out of every device. We send a confirmation email to the address on your account telling you the exact date your account will be switched off.
Changed your mind? You have 7 days
Deleting is not instant on purpose. For 7 days after you request it, your account is only scheduled for deletion — nothing has been removed, and you can call it off yourself:
- Sign back in to the Offcampuz app with the same email and password.
- Tap the profile icon to open your Account screen.
- At the top you will see a banner headed Scheduled for deletion. Tap Keep my account.
That is all it takes — your account goes back to normal and nothing is lost. Once the 7 days are up, the deletion goes ahead and cannot be reversed.
What happens, and when

What is deleted
- Your persona — display name, avatar, bio, and everything else on your profile
- Your karma, trust score, and streaks
- Your posts, comments, votes, and poll answers
- Saved posts, follows, and blocks
- Reports you filed and your account history
- Your email address and sign-in credentials
- Your devices, sessions, and push-notification tokens
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data outlives your account because the law, or the safety of everyone else on Offcampuz, requires it. None of it is used to rebuild your profile or to contact you.

Deleting without access to the app
If you have uninstalled Offcampuz, lost access to your account, or simply prefer not to use the in-app flow, you can ask us to delete it for you:
- Email support@offcampuz.com from the email address on your Offcampuz account.
- Use the subject line Account deletion request.
- We verify that the request really comes from the account holder, then start the same deletion described above and confirm by email once it is scheduled.
We respond within the timeframe required by India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you cannot email us from the registered address, write to us anyway and we will tell you what else we need to confirm it is you.
Two things worth knowing
- Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Removing Offcampuz from your phone only removes the app. Your account, persona, and posts stay exactly as they are until you complete the steps above.
- Deletion is permanent once the 7 days are up. We cannot restore a deleted account or the content on it. You are welcome to join Offcampuz again later, but you would start over with a fresh account — no posts, no karma, no trust score.
